The concept of the Dynamic Zoo Element

Dynamic Zoo Description is a custom Zoo Element.

With this versatile element you can display a dynamic text inside each item containing other item element values.

Both a custom textarea or the description of the primary category is accessible to the Zoo Element - to place anywhere within the item templates.

Example of usage:

In the example below it is explained how the element is usefull in a situation where you want to assign information to a group of items.

I have the following structure of categories:

Under the category '@myemails' i have the following items:
casper@myemail.com
crea@myemail.com
contact@myemail.com

The e-mails in each category all have the same configuration information and some item specific information, which needs to be displayed on each item page.

This is where the custom Zoo Element CategoryDescription gets usefull.

Instead of typing almost identical texts on each item, i use the Dynamic Zoo Element to store one dynamic text.

I would like to display a text about email setup on each item page:

Use the following information to setup this email:

Username: {zoo_item: 0 element: Name}
Password: {zoo_item: 0 element: Password}
Incoming server: {zoo_item: 0 element: Incoming Server}
Port: {zoo_item: 0 element: Incoming Port}

Outgoing server: {zoo_item: 0 element: Outgoing Server}
Port: {zoo_item: 0 element: Outgoing Port}

If you have any problems setting up you server try contacting:
{zoo_item: 0 element: IT Staff config:"separated_by":"separator=[ , ]"}

This could output something like:

Use the following information to setup this email:

Username: casper@myemails.com
Password: userpass123
Incoming server: mail.myemails.com
Port: 110

Outgoing server: smtp.myemails.com
Port: 25

If you have any problems setting up you server try contacting:
Jimmy Doe, John Mark, Andy Brown
